The downside: The product-finder experience lags the front of the pack. Getting from a browse to a configurable quote takes more steps than it should.

The downside: Overkill for most commercial work. If your project sits in SR2 or SR3 territory, you’re paying for engineering you’ll never use.

The downside: If you don’t need louvres, there’s no reason to look here over the broader-range manufacturers. The solid security doors are competent but not their main story.
6. ProfabAccess (TUFF-DOR)
A clean, straightforward LPS 1175 range with no marketing fluff.
TUFF-DOR2, TUFF-DOR3, and TUFF-DOR4 each tested to the rating in the name. The product structure mirrors the spec structure, which sounds obvious but isn’t the norm. Clear attack-time data published per product, useful for tender responses that need supporting evidence.
The downside: The customisation envelope is narrower than Latham’s. Finishes, sizes, and accessories are workable but you’ll hit the edge of what they offer faster.
7. Robust UK
Bespoke commercial steel doorsets with serious customisation depth.
The SECUR-DOR range covers PAS 24, STS 202 BR3, and ENV 1627 Level 4. The TUFF-DOR range is licensed under LPS 1175 SR2, SR3, and SR4. Made-to-measure is the default rather than a premium add-on, and the business has the volume capacity for larger commercial fit-outs.
The downside: The brand is less visible online than the size of the business suggests. Initial research takes longer because the depth of public technical content is thinner.
8. Samson Doors
A distributor with credible LPS 1175 stock, useful when you want options.
Stocks SecurGuard, SecurGuard PLUS, and the SeceuroShield 3801/7501 LPS 1175 shutters. The technical sales team is comfortable navigating between standards (LPS 1175, PAS 24, RC2, RC3), which helps on cross-spec briefs where you want to compare without running parallel sales conversations.

If you want one supplier you can build a long-term relationship with across SR2 to SR4 work, with the documentation depth and warranty length to back it up, Latham’s is the strongest all-round pick on this list. If your project pulls you into SR5/SR6, blast, ballistic, louvres, or a three-day deadline, the right answer changes.
