The Most Important Things to Remember for Your UK Hot Tub Break

Planning a hot tub break is nice and simple, all you really need to decide is just where you want to go for a relaxing few days away. But that doesn’t mean that there’s nothing else to think about before you leave.

If you really want to make the most of your hot tub weekend breaks in the UK then there are some important things to remember. With that in mind, we’ve put together some points for you to consider:

Take your swimwear

Take your swimwear

First things first, don’t forget to pack some swimwear for your hot tub break. It’d be a real shame if you got to your accommodation only to find that you’d left your swimsuit at home!

Obviously, if need be, you can always find yourself a replacement from a local shop. But that’s time and energy you shouldn’t be having to waste at the start of your relaxing time away.

Besides, you probably want to go ahead and get straight in the hot tub to soothe away the aches of the journey there!

If you really want to be prepared, then pack a couple of options for yourself. That way you don’t have to worry about things still being wet when you’ve decided it’s time to go back for a second dip in the hot tub.

Check if towels are included

The only thing as important as having the right swimwear for a dip is to have towels ready for when you get back out. Nobody wants to step out of those relaxing, warm waters straight into harsh, cold air.

Whenever you’re planning on getting in the hot tub, make sure that you have a towel to hand to keep the whole experience nice and relaxing. Ideally keep it within arm’s reach, but not so close that it’ll get easily splashed.

Even before you leave for your holiday, double check whether the accommodation you’re staying in does offer towels as part of the package. Going searching for some bath towels is another stress you’d be much better not kicking off your break with.

Don’t stress, relax

Don’t stress, relax

If you’re going on a holiday, the chances are you need a break from the stress of everyday life. Choosing a hot tub break is the perfect solution, as the hot waters are perfect for relieving stress.

But the fight against lingering stress doesn’t stop there. When you’ve only got the weekend to enjoy your destination it’s tempting to try and fit in as much as you can. Don’t fall for that trap!

Make sure that you really slow down and don’t push yourself too hard, this is a holiday, remember. Stick to doing just a couple of activities or even just casually exploring, and you’ll find that you feel much more relaxed.

No drinking in the hot tub

Relaxing and unwinding often goes hand in hand with a glass of something. But when you’re chilling out in your hot tub you should resist the temptation to reach for a drink.

For one thing, most accommodations have rules against taking glasses into their hot tubs. The possibility of a slip leading to shattered glass means that it’s safter to stick to plastic options instead. You don’t want to have to have the entire tub drained and swept for fragments, after all.

While a little buzz is fine, don’t go getting in the hot tub if you’ve had more than just the one glass. It’s not worth the increased risk of slipping on the wet surfaces.

Of course, at the end of the day the most important thing is that you enjoy your well-earned hot tub holiday.
