Taiwan’s leading innovators took centre stage at Westfield White City this October as the Taiwan Select Pop-Up Showcase 2025 introduced UK shoppers to award-winning Taiwanese brands, while the Taiwan Excellence Gala Event celebrated the official launch of the Innovation Showcase with partners, VIP guests and cultural performances.
Organised by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and the International Trade Administration (TITA), the five-day showcase featured 25 Taiwan Excellence, recognised brands, each awarded for innovation, quality, and sustainability.
The experience gave UK consumers the chance to explore cutting-edge products shaping the future of Taiwanese design and technology.

Taiwan Excellence Gala Event Launches Innovation Showcase
The Taiwan Excellence Gala Event formally opened the Innovation Showcase and brought together leading Taiwanese companies, UK partners, industry stakeholders, and distinguished guests.
Lord Faulkner, the UK Trade Envoy to Taiwan, delivered remarks emphasising the significance of Taiwan, UK collaboration, noting:
“The health and wellness innovations showcased today will benefit not only the economies of the UK and Taiwan, but also our people. This showcase offers a unique opportunity to experience the ingenuity of Taiwan first-hand. I’m confident this will bolster partnerships between our industries.”
The event featured speeches from Simon Wang, President & CEO of TAITRA; Vincent Yao, Representative of the Taipei Representative Office in the UK; Lord Faulkner of Worcester; and Peter Bishop, Editor of London Business Matters. Each highlighted Taiwan’s global leadership in innovation, creativity, and sustainable development.
Showcase Highlights: UK Consumers Respond Strongly

Throughout the exhibition surveys gathered at the stand revealed highly positive visitor sentiment and strong commercial interest:
- 95% reported an improved perception of Taiwanese products
- 93% said they were likely or very likely to buy Taiwanese products in the future
- 91% would recommend Taiwanese brands to others
- 70% said innovative, high-quality products were their favourite part of the experience
Smart Tech Leads Visitor Interest, Followed by Wellbeing and Lifestyle
Advanced technology products were the most popular category, with 78% of visitors selecting them as the most interesting.
Key highlights included:
- Acer: Free Sense Smart Ring (Gen 1) and Predator Utility Lite Backpack
- ASUS: VivoWatch 6 precision health-tracking wearable
- GIGABYTE: AERO X16 laptop, AORUS FO32U2P gaming monitor, and X870 AORUS Stealth Ice motherboard
Wellness, lifestyle, and health products also resonated strongly with visitors, with 40% indicating interest in these categories. Popular products included:
- Smart foldable scooters from KYMCO, Freerider, and Heartway Medical
- OptiqB’s glasses-free 3D film display
- JIYONSON’s BeanGo Cube coffee roaster
- Vinxper’s adjustable electric wine aerator
- Aromase’s range of scalp and body care products
Sustainable fashion and travel design caught shoppers’ attention as well, including:
- Uni-Paragon’s deya marine-recycled roll-up backpack
- UKL Enterprise’s pineapple-leaf fibre garments
- Acer’s Predator Pulse luggage
Taiwanese Food and Cultural Experiences Enrich the Visitor Journey

Food and drink played a central role at both the showcase and gala. Visitors enjoyed Taiwanese snacks and beverages throughout the week, and more than half said they attended specifically to explore Taiwanese flavours.
Special “Happy Hour” tasting sessions were held on Thursday 23 October and Saturday 25 October, where guests sampled:
- Pineapple cakes from Taipec
- T4 bubble (boba) tea
- Your Zesty Bliss fruit bubble tea
- Traditional Taiwanese sweet potato, bean curd, and sausage from Han Dian
These activities combined cultural discovery with interactive quizzes about Taiwanese food and traditions, enhancing engagement and drawing steady crowds to the stand.
A Strong Platform for Future Taiwan – UK Collaboration
With awareness, affinity, and purchase intent all increasing across product categories, the Taiwan Select Pop-Up Showcase 2025 and the Taiwan Excellence Gala demonstrated the growing appeal of Taiwanese innovation in the UK.
Together, the events turned curiosity into connection, strengthened cultural and commercial ties, and showcased the world-leading creativity that defines Taiwan Excellence.
